How do you groom your Labradoodle ?

Should I keep my puppy’s coat long? Do I need to trim the hair out of my puppy’s eyes? These are questions that are pretty regularly asked of me. I like to say that the way you keep your Labradoodle coat really is up to your personal preference. If you have just one dog, you may choose to keep your doodle puppy’s coat long and keep them combed out with a Les Pooche brush. If you’re like me, and have more than one dog to care for, you might like a shorter cut. I like to be able to see my dog’s eyes, so I always keep the hair trimmed around them. For a shorter cut, I use a 3/4 inch blade on an Andis Clipper. I also have an attachment for a 1 1/2 inch cut, if I’d like it a little longer. I also trim the ears right around the leather, rather than leaving them long.
